Coming from North Carolina, the most slept on state in America, I, Davinchie, emerged from the most gutterest location bringing with me true-life events and stories which happened personally or close to me. Battling through rival artists I gained that street credibility that all underground MC’s must possess. I first started spitting at the age 11 when my old brother Shawn showed me the basics of the art. Ever since the first time I heard my brother rap I knew it was destined for me to claim my place in Hip Hop. Almost every day in High School I had a new song completed at the end of the school day. I was always anxious for lunch break to come so I can bury other rappers that though they could stand a chance against me. My rap name Davinchie came from a group of homies who did music with me in school. They gave me that name because I have great skills in art as well as music. Fellow students used to call me Davinchie and it happened to stick with me. My style of music is greatly influenced by Nas and D-Block. Though I was born in NC, I lived in New Jersey and Toronto Canada which gives me that east coast feel. I consider myself to be very versitle, able to murder any type of beat given to me. At age18 I had my first televised performance in Toronto, and I was the only American rapper on the showcase. A month later because of family issues I moved back to NC then starting a lyrical killing spree in Raleigh, NC at all the major Night Clubs in the area. Soon after I dropped my first known album called “Take It or Leave It.” Now, I know I’m ready to claim that spot that I vision in my mind for many years. The passion that I display in my music lets the audience know how serious I am.
