They’re called… “LiMafia”… Gizzmo, Cappo, & D-Menace. 3 Artists… from Ohio.. Droppin’ heat on the streets of the Hip Hop Nation, as they stop at nothin’ to get theirs!! Dennis & John Dupree & Dennis Richardson are the end result of a long musical journey from which legends are made. They come from Lima, OH, where they learned big lessons in the small streets of the “Lime-City” like many young men struggling to find their niche in the world. At an early age, the Dupree brothers learned to perform at the church of their parents, Rev. Charles & Diane Dupree, where Dennis began to play the piano. This led to the cool confidence of the artist we now know as Gizzmo! His influence led John, who tends to be more brash, to develop his own artistic concept and become known to us as Cappo! Dennis Richardson, the boyhood road-dog, lends a hard-edged element to the “LiMafia” concept. He is also known as D-Menace. While in high school, Gizz quickly went from All-Star guard with a killer crossover, to watchin his back as he ventured into the killer world of gang-bangin. Through it all, he miraculously maintained focus on his artistic skills, as music became his passion in life. From the street clique ion ’97, they began as an 8-man rap posse that evolved into what we know today as “LiMafia”! In 2004, “LiMafia” was introduced to Zye Music/Phat Camp Productionz executive producers, Kerry Bogart & Henry Gober. It was obvious from the start they possessed that special inner drive necessary to be successful in the music industry. And as they say, the rest is history! Spearheaded by the genius of Gizzmo, who’s creative brilliance keeps the ‘Maf-gang’ on point! This unique gathering of talent, constantly taking care of business helps as they maintain a steady grind to reach the top of the music world. Cappo, the young blood, keeps ‘LiMafia’ true to the ‘game’, as he spits knowledge of a world experienced by few, while D-Menace(always unpredictable) keeps it ‘gutter’, with a style that makes competition run for cover. This 3-man army is on a world wide mission to conquer the charts! Off the rip, they blow the doors off the club with the booty poppin hit “Sittin Right Hurr” and the street anthem “Make Money”. And like all players worth their pimp juice, they shout out to the ladies with their smooth sounding “Roll Wit You” and the one to make em’ melt, “Hey Baby Girl”, both guaranteed to make ‘em drop them thongs. They top it off with the show stopping throw back “Cupid” that would make Sam Cooke himself proud to bang it. Open your ears and take note! They’re called “LiMafia”!
