Sometimes modest and subtle, sometimes unrefined but…..always enthusiastic. The story of Peter Habets begins when he is 18 years old and travelling through the south of Europe with his guitar strapped to his back. On the streets, in bars and along the boulevards he learned how to be a musician. After many solo-performances and in different settings, he travelled back to the Netherlands where he met Heike Ceresa and started the Folkrock band Matzko. Five records and many performances later, both domestic and abroad, Peter begins his solo carrier beside his band Matzko. Melodies that come form his soul and lyrics straight from his heart, with which love and life are described in English pop songs. With a big repertoire of his own work, he knows how to interest a wide audience. Peter Habets plays his music to a sitting audience in a theatre, in the local pub, living room or dancing crowd on festivals. Amplified or acoustic, with or without guest musicians.
