Writer, Producer, and Artist is how you would describe the 30 year old Cleveland OH resident.  Destined to be a force in the music industry, Calibur, whose real name is Maurice Penn, has been carving out his path for success for the last ten years.  Throughout those years, he has produced hundreds of songs, written for several different artist and has recorded 5 solo albums and 3 group albums.  In 2001, He founded Dark Half Records and created a joint partnership with J. Banks in 2003.  After Three years and a less than successful group cd, the two individuals mutually parted ways.  "Its was a rough period of time, but a great learning experience" said calibur.  With a new energy, new passion, and new team, 2006 marked a new era in recording for the  ever determined Calibur.  "Its in my blood to do what im doing" said Calibur.  "I cant stop, I have come to far to stop".  After networking through the Cleveland music scene, Calibur would soon begin recording with Cleveland sensation Mr. Model, Squad ENT. recording artist Robb Relo, and Super Producer John "YK" Hardaway.  The fierce four would begin setting a standard that could not be matched nor surpassed.  Today Calibur is on the Brink of what he says is his best album to date. When asked about his new 15 song album, titled Get To Know Me.  The rapper responds by saying "it is a chronicle of my life.  It is inspired not only by my ups and downs in music, but those in life as well.  "I just want my fans to truly get to know the person that I am".
