Be on the look out!![/b] [color="orange"]I am a native of the Atlanta, GA area, spending 18 years of my life there, before heading off to college in Nashville, TN, and then graduate school in Berkeley, CA. There is so much I want to do and see in my life, and beat-making is just one real pleasure of mine. I have been heavily involved with music since the 6th grade, where I first learned how to play trumpet, and then tuba. I love Classical music and the influence it has had on music in general. A song by Haydn can be just as crunk to me as the latest hit out of Atlanta! :-). I spent much of my middle school career attending band clinics and honor bands that would enhance my knowledge of music. High School was really the area I believed I had the chance to explore music and venture into the art of composing and arranging. Continuing my classical studies and clinics, I became involved with the high school Marching Band. In the marching band, I was not only driven to learn to play more instruments and become better at site reading, but I began to arrange popular radio hits for marching band play during games. I still remember the feeling I felt every time I heard some of my arrangements played on a regular basis during games and parades. College gave me the opportunity to minor in Music, and I utilized my four years to hone my composition and theory skills. I also spent time training my ear by singing in the Campus Gospel Choir. After continuing more formal training in music composition, I practiced my craft by arranging songs for the college marching bands and working on a few simple beats to see what sounded good and what didn’t. Now I am out in graduate school, but I have been inspired to take my beat-making more seriously and to another level, and so I spend my free time studying not only for classes, but to hone my craft and see just how creative I can be. I want to find anyone who is interested in singing or rhyming, and help each other out.
