King Nicodemz, born Nicholas Ranson, March 14,1981 in Chicago, Illinois. The middle child of three siblings. During my childhood years, I was constantly surrounded by music. My father Jeffrey Ranson, was a local DJ. He played a lot of old school classics, from the Temptations, Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, and Luther Vandross. I was instantly drawn in. During my high school years, writing became one of my hobbies. I started off writing poems, songs, and screen plays. I later dropped out of school in my junior year due to family problems. At the age of 17, I started hanging out in the streets and really didn't know what I would do with my life. Me and my childhood friends would listen to rap daily and would stay up until the middle of the night freestyling. After two years passed, I realized that i wanted to make music my life. Whether it was writing songs, producing beats, or rapping. I moved to Lexington, Kentucky at the age of 19, where I met the producer Special Fx, born Derrick Burnham. We began to work together. During that time, I established a style and a uniqueness about myself. I began to receive a lot of good feedback on my music. My confidence built up and I became more dedicated. Now at the age of 26, I am 100 percent into getting my music heard. I possess something different and keep true to my lyrics in all of my projects. My music is for all ages, races, and cultures. I will bring the music industry a change. I will stand out from all artist in the game. In the year 2007, King Nicodemz will be heard.
