Tarzell began his musical career at the tender age of 5, singing Motown hits for neighbors on the west side of Chicago, and singing in the youth choir at church where his grandmother was an associate pastor. He began playing guitar at age 10, and soon after proceeded to teach himself to play the bass guitar and drums. Tarzell has performed with and alongside such great artist as James Brown,Bobby Bland, Billy Preston, The Ohio Players, War, Average White Band, SOS Band, Delite, Andre Cymone, Dez Dickerson, TLC, William Bell, Keisha Jackson,Candi Staton, Jeff Carlisi from 38 Special, Mickey Thomas from Starship, Brian Howe from Bad Company, and a host of prominent and well known local artist throughout the atlanta music scene.
