Bio

The first born of a family of four; G-Jay was born into a musical family in Ghana, a country in west africa. His father being a renowned musician and his mother a singer. At a young age he and his family migrated to the Turks and Caicos Islands(Located in the Caribbean) where they lived for 4 years before moving again to Luton, UK. He currently resides in Columbus, Ohio Living in four continents has greatly influenced his music. Influences include his african culture and his father. His father, George Mensah Essilfie introduced him to music at an early age. As a result he has been writing songs since the age of eight. Having lived in four continents G-Jay has developed a great appreciation for many types of music. He does not shy away from different styles, but rather aims to combine them in new and exciting ways. Described as a "one man band", G-Jay writes his own songs, produces his own instrumentals and also does his own recording and engineering in a home studio owned by his father. "Shalom".
