Bio

artist

The type of music Kenneth prefers is rap and hip-hop but he has grown to like and respect all music over the years. With that said, he now makes music reflecting on all music genres. He strives to be limitless and to be as versatile as possible. By doing that, he knows that more people will be willing to listen and won’t be so judgmental towards rap and hip-hop music. He likes to be different within reason when it comes to music, and isn’t afraid to take risks that aren’t absurd. His music is very catchy and always interesting to hear. His lyrical content is beyond crazy to the point where he may lose people. Keeping that in mind, now he holds back lyrically because he knows in today’s world less is more. He started writing at the age of 7 and started producing his own beats at the age of 11. At first he didn’t take music seriously because it was just a hobby but, by the age of 12, he was tired of buying CD’s that he felt had a lot more potential. With that said, Kenneth started perfecting his craft studying people and learning the ways of the world. He knew that with this wisdom and knowledge, it would be easier to touch people and he would be that much closer to making the perfect project. Kenneth is currently an underground recording artist, producer, and engineer in Nashville, TN. At 17, he graduated from Whites Creek High School on May of 2007. He is currently enrolled at the International Academy Of Design and Technology pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Digital Audio Production. He produces his own beats, writes his lyrics, records, and engineers his music; learning most of his engineering craft from his father Stanley Washington II (Stantronik). Kenneth was taught to be independent and to always be in the good standings of not needing aid from others. This explains his versatility and why his music sounds like it does despite him recording in the open space of his room. One of the subtitles in his name, “Tha’ Gr8,” came from when many people realized how amazing he was at such a young age and started comparing him to those of ancient myths such as Alexander The Great. Kenneth gave himself “Tha’ Prophet” because he feels as though he is a prophet of music and can really change the direction of the music industry. Slicc Calliano is an alter ego to K-Slicc. Calliano is the more hood; rowdy side of Kenneth. He is the person Kenneth used to be before Kenneth decided to change his life from guns and violence to one that was civilized. Many may ask how he got the name K-Slicc. Well, around January of 2004, he was in downtown Nashville with his brother Chris, his cousin Meman, Cyco, Cool James, and Mister Souljah Boy. It was quickly noticed how much attention he was getting from the ladies, so Mister Souljah Boy asked him his name. Kenneth said his name and Mister Souljah Boy thought the boy was too smooth for a govt. name for that night and called him K-Slicc. Kenneth liked the name and changed it from Yung Ryda to K-Slicc. Since then, Kenneth has met various artists like Young Buck, Trina, Crime Mob, Boosie, Webbie, and even did songs with Hurricane Chris and Fabo while in affiliation with the Nashville entertainment label “G.L.U.W Entertainment”. With them, he has traveled and participated in my shows such as the 2007 Summer Jam Tour. He now has his own entertainment label “Fast Pace Money Entertainment” with Young Remy G and himself being the main artist and managed by D. Baker. Kenneth has a finished mix tape named “Versatile: Take One” that is being prepared to come out soon and also the underground album “The Prophecy,” and professional album “Child Of Prophecy” on the way. He also has a song in rotation on Chicago’s Hot 92 radio station named “Break Me Off” featuring Chicago recording artists Henno, Stony Ise, and Sam I Am. Kenneth would like to shout out to his family and friends: Pops (Stantronik), Moms (Tina Jones), G.C Tha Artist, Young Remy G, Recipe, D. Baker, J-Dub, J.C Cashville’s King Of R&B, Flame, Koolwhip, Tezmania, O.G, Rickashade, RIP, J.B Da Yung Balla, Tennakey, Skimask, O.Z, L.P & Los, Johnny B, and J-Rod. Kenneth was born ready to make magic. He came out of the womb saying abracadabra. Prepare for the mix tape because you won’t be ready for the album. This kid’s going to blow up on atomic bomb status so preparation is futile. “Take shelter if you think it’ll save you, I aint GOD so I didn’t make you but I’ll break u” –K-Slicc Tha’ Gr8/Prophet-
