Formed in 2008 in Annapolis MD, Bumpin Uglies have been spreading their distinct blend of acoustic rock/reggae throughout the region. Their rock solid rhythm section and thoughtful song and lyrical structures are matched with strong vocals and bright saxophone fills. Their style is easy to listen to, but difficult to describe; clever enough that listeners will notice something new every time. Their presentation is personable and entertaining, with a breezy attitude that enhances their sound. The Uglies have earned residencies at several venues in and around their home town of Annapolis, MD and continue to play shows in the surrounding areas with regional acts that, among others, include Ballyhoo!, The Grilled Lincolns, and Pasadena. Diverse influences and repertoire have earned them a devoted following from neighborhood bars to the 2009 and 2010 Mid-Atlantic Wine Festivals, 2010 Mid-Atlantic NACA Conference, and the 2011 Surf and Song Festival.
