The vision began in the spring of 2009 with the creation of an R&B quartet inspired by Boyz II Men. The founding member, Sam, went about the daunting task of finding members for his prototype. He came upon 3 guys who seemed to fit the mold and had the talent to make this dream come to life. Sam met Chaz, Charles (AKA Redd) and Ed who are very passionate about music and were willing to put in the work to make the group successful. There was some hesitation because of the things Sam had been through in previous groups. But after looking back on everything that had happened over the years, this was what he was looking for and it just made sense, and Chaz, Charles and Ed were a perfect addition. Each member brings a unique vocal style to the group that culminates into a sound that has been compared to that of their predecessors. Now, what about the name? It had to be meaningful. It had to describe the vision and the sound of the group. After a few minutes it hit...Smoove Soul. Not only did the name "Smoove Soul" fit the sound and vision, but also it embodied the spirit of all four singers individually as well as together. Plus, it just sounds so damn sexy!!! Thus, Smoove Soul was born… Smoove Soul brings the “Old School” sound back to today’s music with a “New School” energy and flair! With over 30+ combined years of music industry experience and skills that include production, songwriting, arrangement, and composing, Smoove Soul is a self-contained musical powerhouse!
