Bio
Just when the music world thought that Hip-Hop was gone forever, one teenager changed it all. Hailing from the Midwest, this Indiana native is of both Native American and African American descent. She began her journey into rap stardom at the young age of 6 and by the time she was 7 had written her first 4 verse rap song. Reminiscent of Queen Latifah,2pac Shakur and Notorious BIG, all of whom she admires; Jazzie Lee has a sweet tooth for a old school groove. Being the creative young force that she is, her style comes off strictly 90's. Being probably the only young female emcee to actually STUDY the art of Hip-Hop instead of just subject herself to it, she initiates a sense of class and urban style; a style that has diminished with the loss of musicians such as Aaliyah Haughton, Eazy E and Big L. "Ask me anything about the old school hip-hop and R&B era and you'll be amazed at with how much of it I know about. I don't just listen to the groups, I study the entire form of rap. To me, that's what makes a true artist. I grew up on a lot of good old school music like Xscape, 702 and stuff like that," then she goes on to note "I remember being about 13 or 14 years old at the mall with a group of friends and this guy hears me spittin a few to my girls and he said You definitely have potential. You're gonna go far. I didn't really know how to react because I was just rhyming, not really thinking about it." She raps with a twist of speed, finesse and class. Humble, down to earth and professional could be just a few good words to describe this young talent. She's the missing link to the dying hip-hop industry. She's the last known heart beat to the dynasty. And you can't deny the girl has got a natural knack for laying down some good verses. "I came out as a rapper. My mom had Bone Thugs N Harmony and 2pac in the headphones while I was still waiting to kick out of the womb. I took my first breath and heard my first sounds and seen my first bits of music and it was on. I wouldn't trade that for anything in the world."
