Bio
Adrienne Verniece is a Singer/Songwriter/Performer who has been doing music ever since her days as an young child. The self proclaimed “Army brat” has had the opportunity to travel the world with family, and having seen and been exposed to a lot of things over the years, she has been molded into the woman and artist that she is today. She gained the opportunity to open up for acts such as Zapp & Roger, CeCe Peniston, Bone-Thugs-N -Harmony, SWV, Avant, and Jaheim and has won numerous awards in local as well as national talent shows. She even performed twice at the 97.9 The Beat car show and concert in Dallas, TX. While not wanting to do music based on the latest dance craze, or the latest fad, her main concern is creating good music that says something and feels good to the soul. She calls her sound “a breath of fresh air to the music industry.” My musical background does not consist of any schooling. All of my experiences in music have pretty much been hands on. I started performing when I was 10 years old, doing mostly dance choreography, and it wasn’t until age 12 that I started taking singing seriously. I started in an all girl group called F.L.A.V.A. and then eventually branched out to do the solo thing. I think it is time for people to get a taste of an artist who makes good music, but does not follow any specific trend that is out at the moment. To me, there is a lot of repetition in the music today, and every song that floods the mainstream radio station is about sex, clubbin’, money this, and money that. It’s almost like nobody is being creative anymore. I just want to show that music can be good and entertaining without all of that. I also want to show that creativity and good music comes in all shapes and sizes, and can be reflected at any age.[i][b]
