Al Caldwell Bio Al Caldwell has performed with countless stars around the world. His skills as a bassist and producer, has earned him a reputation in rock, jazz-fusion, rhythm and blues and pop. This guru of the 11 string midi bass and midi electric banjo is a 35 year veteran of the Music business. Playing blues with Albert King, jazz with Jonathan Butler, or rock with Greg Howe has given him a unique approach to music. His love of all styles of music is evident in his countless recordings. He has 7 cds available on I Tunes. His latest recordings will be released in May. His new cd “My 11 String “ will feature his new jazz Instrumental Junko’s Groove. His dear friend Junko Nishio inspired this song. Al Caldwell will be performing with Vanessa Williams in May at the Blue Note jazz clubs. His band will tour in America this summer and he hopes to tour Japan later this year. He has 4 new projects available in May. Al Caldwell plays over 30 different instruments. He chose to be a performer instead of a teacher so that he could share his love of music with the world.
