Singer/songwriter Paul Collins plays country and Americana roots music. Influenced by Hank Williams Sr. and Ray Charles, Collins was exposed to country and rock and roll as a boy. Paul Collins began writing songs and performing at the age of 14. By the age of 17, Paul Collins was touring the U.S. and Canada with his first rock band, The Nerves. The Nerves' song Hanging On The Telephone has been covered by a variety of artists including Cat Power, Def Leppard and Blondie. Paul Collins has recorded with a wide range of artists such as Sheryl Crow guitarist Jeff Trott, Chris Isaak drummer Kenny Dale Johnson, Chris Isaak bassist Rowland Salley, Counting Crows guitarist Dave Immergluck, Chuck Prohpet, Bruce Botnick (The Doors) and Grammy Award-winning songwriter Peter Case (The Plimsouls).
