[color="indigo"]THE BEGINNING J'Wan began singing at the age of 3, and writing songs and poetry at the age of 5. By her teens she was performing around the DMV with all-girl bands Diamond is Forever, Genuine, and Royalty. After having her daughter Jessica, she took time away from music to concentrate on being a mom. But not happy with the 9 to 5 scene, she formed JYMstone Entertainment in 2004 with her cousins Zsa Zsa, Amber, Tara and Rickia. THE PRESENT J'Wan is currently writing and recording new songs for two upcoming projects - The Official R&B Mixtape which will be released April 29 2008, and her solo album Forever Young, set to drop in the late summer of 2008. Her single "What Could It Be" has now been sent to radio stations nationwide and is getting play on internet radio. She's working with the production team BASSHEADS, a duo based out of Prince George's County, Maryland. You can catch her performing on the DMV club scene. Her passion doesn't end with music, however. J'Wan is a poet who has published her first book Words of Love and Life: An Emotional Journey.
