Weather it be in the studio, or on stage The Jaded Lights constantly thrive to be revolutionary with there own style of rock and roll. In the words of Paul McCartney "Nothing in life really stays and it is beautiful that they go. They have to go in order for the next thing to come. You can almost add beauty to a thing by accepting that it is temporary." The Jaded Lights were formed in 1999. The first two core members were Johnny Rockstarr on the Guitar and Brian Purkey on Drums. In 2000 the Jaded Lights hired Lamont Stewart to project their image on film. In 2002 came Glenn Hoover keyboards, and Tommy Comet on lead Guitar. Finally in 2003 Danny Becher joined the Band as the Bass player to even out the sound. In 2003 The Jaded Lights preformed live for the first time at Bunkers in Vandalia to a sold out crowd and then at America fest XII. The Jaded Lights also preformed for a major Charity event for the American Cancer Association in New Carlisle Ohio. The 5 members of the Jaded Lights went their separate ways for a while as Life happened, but never gave up on their dream. They have managed to reunite, and sound better then ever. In recent months The Jaded Lights have put out two records the critically acclaimed "My American Train Wreck"; which takes on a musical journey through the head of a musical writer who slowly looses his sanity while trying to produce the perfect rock and roll record. The second record is entitled “RARE ROUGH and UN -RELEASED!” which is a collection of songs recorded then digitally premastered from the bands earlier days. The Jaded Lights are once again proving that you don't have to have a ten million dollar budget, or be signed on a major label to be successful with the music business. Even more recently The Jaded lights had the privilege to take the number eight spot not the REVERB NATION ROCK CHARTS for several weeks. "This has grown our fan base enormously!" said Brain S.W.B. Purkey. In addition to this The Jaded Lights Jonathan W. Rockstarr was once quoted as saying "Just give me a spoon and I'll dig a hole to China!" with that statement he validates the point that the music industry as we know it is changing and that The Jaded lights are here to stay. It has not always been easy for this band a quiet inner turmoil has almost driven a stake right through there blackened hearts several times yet by some miracle or Fan Intervention The Jaded Lights manage to find a way to keep on writing and to keep in touch with there fans. In a recent event in The Jaded Lights.com chartroom several fans actually questioned whether or not this band is actually another Spinal Tap! When confronted with all of the allegations Jonathan W. Rockstarr decided to beat those people at there own game; by releasing a newly recorded version of "Prove us wrong". Much to there surprise that was not all that he had planned with in 24 hours he had also leaked live recordings of the Beatles hit "Let it Be" which they had performed early in 2007 at the State Ballroom in Houston Texas and a new song entitled "Kathleen" Which Johnny Rockstarr wrote to honor his wife. In November of 2008 Danny Becher was replaced on the bass guitar by Sam Galloway formerly of Deep Dish Rising a progressive hardcore band from Huber Heights Ohio. During that same year the band signed with Quantum Records from Dayton Ohio. In early 2009 Tommy Comet who was a fixture on the lead guitar was also replaced by Vladimir Gulag from Chernobyl in the Ukraine. With the first decade of the new millennium almost in the bag, Who knows what else this band has in store for its fans but I can tell you that it will ALLWAYS be worth the wait!
