More music coming asap! Synopsis. My name is Kris Jones, I'm 19. My Dj name is snafu witch is a world war term that means "situation normal... all fucked up". For me it all started about five years ago After going to clubs/ raves & making friends with a few people from the north west scene I decided to stop my hobby B.M.X'ing & get some turntables, I thought this was a big mistake but it was the best decision of my life now I look back because DJ'ing is so much more than a hobby. My first memories of Dj'ing were when i was 15... pissed & getting warmed up for the under 18's at the Tivoli! I still love cha cha slide & the alton towers tune just as much as i did back then!! I used to love all day/ night sessions of hardhouse on my gemini belt drives when i was first discovering the meaning of staying up all weekend! By the time I learned what mixing was about I knew that I had something special because i didn't need to try & DJ, I constantly had a massive energy towards music. I started understanding there are many arts to perfect within the word DJ/ DJ'ing wich was very interesting to me. I started a collection of books about DJ'ing/ producing & i got a solid booth together My setup is: Technics 1210's, Pioneer DJM 600. I am also using a few programs. Just like any other junkie I was playing all day every day, learning how to record, produce & nibble away at my technique whilst constantly picking up new skills towards DJ'ing. People used to think I was a mad because I was always changing or improving things but I quickly learned to stick it in their faces by channelling my inventive side into my mixes by doing things like making intros/ outros & I have designed & copyrighted a tool for my mixer witch has now given me my own style that no other DJ has, when used. At the moment i'm still working hard on my techniques. I am preparing to press myfirst song "whatever", & im producing some great cd's (go to: bassbyte.com). I am addicted to showing crowds of people who I am musically, what I have to give them & the way I do things. I have been organising & setting up parties for friends over the past 13 months & learning from every step I take, I would sometimes use a mic at birthday parties & New Year. I have played at Generate, Frequency, SYLD international, Baby Cream. Im looking for work in all aspects of music so please contact me if you have anything to say. I play many styles including 90's Dance, Techno, Hard Style, Trance, D&B & Classics such as Queen/ Tenacious D/ 3345/ DJ Casper/ MFP, & I'm just as happy crossing all the above genres in a set as just one of them.
