Inquiries contact [email protected] or www.myspace.com/joepriestusa Bear Facing Charges Joe Priest and DB Productions/PB Records support former affiliate, Alaskan born drummer John Bear, in his ongoing legal plight. Bear, after recording two tracks with Priest, disappeared for some time without notice of any kind to band members or management. A week ago, witnesses spotted him near the Martin River near Anchorage fishing with friends. It is there he was picked up by authorities on vandalism charges resulting from alleged graffiti on nearby state wildlife park signs. The details of the graffiti were bizarre in nature...literally. Bear and counterparts allegedly had inserted the letter "A" upon numerous Martin River signs, altering the text to read "Martian River". Equally bizare, the cadmium pigment used to manipulate the lettering was analized by local CSI personel, and found to be salmon blood. Bear, facing misdemeanor charges for vandalism, was arrested at approximately 8:12 pm along with two friends allegedly involved in the incidents. Anchorage Police report that Bear was noticeably intoxicated and became irate when approached by officers. After a bellowing tirade, Bear was arrested and released the next morning on two thousand dollars bail. A friend of the band went on record as saying DB Productions posted the bail. Management at DB Productions/PB Records was contacted and reached for statement, but had "no comment". Bear meanwhile, was unavailable for comment. Since Bear's untold hiatus, Priest and DB Productions have been innately fortunate to aquire the talents of former Three Miles Out drummer Matt Groth. The breach reunites Priest with Groth from power trio Head Injuries, 12 years ago.
