Allow the velvet voicing of OSBON to reach you, touch you and move you with his heartfelt interpretation of original music composed to entertain you as it enriches your life. Born in Los Angeles in the late 1980s, OSBON began his journey by performing solos at the Christian Academy School at the tender age of 6 years. The youngest in a family of three older sisters, OSBON developed his musical ability by playing the piano, acoustic guitar and drums, as well as fine tuning his singing voice. A stand out performer in his church's youth choir, he competed at the 2004 Show Choir in New York City. OSBON excelled both academically and athletically playing football, wrestling, and starring at track at the Visual Performing Arts School, Poway California. Having recently graduated from flight training ground school, he pursues his interest in flying by fulfilling the requirements for a private pilot's license. He plans on attending a local university or the California Institute of the Arts to continue his studies in voice and music. OSBON explores his world to gain experience and to share himself with others through the use of his favorite instrument, his voice. Influenced by Stevie Wonder, Bryan McKnight and Prince, OSBON enjoys the music of D'Angelo, Rafael (Tony, Toni, Tone) and Musiq Soul Child. As the lead singer for his 5 piece band, the Soul Prophets, OSBON performs regularly at local venues. "U Need a Man" is OSBON, the Original's debut CD. At around seven years old I realized that I looked at music differently from the other kids. To me it was all about the feeling that a song would give me. I found it amazing that I could listen to an artist and feel their sorrow, pain, happiness and excitement all from a song. Listening to a vocalist was something that I never get tired of doing because all I have to do is listen to a different song to get a different feeling from it.” “So honestly I can not tell you why I have the love for music that I do, all I know that is that I was born with this love….and without it I would not have the drive to perfect my craft.
