Star Six Nine is an up and coming artist/producer that has contributed to alot of the music industry's top artist and Record Lable's. Such as Universal,Def Jam, the newly formed VMG(Voicez Music Group), TVT records and Roy Jone's lable BodyHead Ent also know as BHE. Six Nine has been producing and writing songs for 13 years strong. He got his start at the tender age of nine when he discovered that he had the ability to write and produce music. At the age of 12 Six Nine was already producing local artist and performing at local talent show's and parties throughout his comunitty. Faced with hardship's early in life Six Nine's only way to exscape his adversities would be to write a song or play his keyboard. "It was hard for me growing up where i'am from because i was always getting into trouble and i didnt have a positive male role model to look up to so i looked up to the rappers and other artist that i really liked, they raised me really because i learned alot from them"said Six Nine in an interview with a local new's paper. Not only was Six Nine getting recognition for his music but, he was also getting exsposure on the basketball court. "I played ball before i even knew i could rap" said Six. He was known for his defensive presents on the court but, he also would bang on his compition in the paint. "Keeny Hays my first basketball couch taught me alot, he told me that if i wanted to do something i could all i had to do was believe in myself and that shit stuck with me like bad memory haha cause i took that shit a ran with it." Six Nine got his first big break at the age of 17 when he was discovered by an A&R Rep for BodyHead ENT. "I was shocked when dude called me" Six replies, I was already getting calls from other record labels, i had a A&R call me from SLIP N SLIDE RECORDS one time but, nothing ever happend." Soon after that Six Nine was on a plane to New York City to meet with well known boxing promoter Butch Lewis owner of Butch Lewis producions and Voicez Music Group. On his trip Six Nine was blown away at the fact that he was actually meeting a major exect for the first time."When i got there i cried I aint even gone lie because i was homeless just weeks before that and i couldnt believe it"said Six Nine. "It was crazy because i got a chance to meet Denziel Washington and Bob Johnson, founder of BET and owner of the Bobcats." Six Nine has accomplished numerous of outstanding goals he landed a spot in the UNSIGNED HYPE coulmn OF THE SOURCE MAGAZINE in early 2006. Look foward to more from Six Nine as the year 2007 approches. He plans to drop his solo album FROM THA UNDERDOG TO THA BOSS in the spring of 2007 beware of the dog.
