The band pLAc1d quit because of circumstances, but this bands drummer and guitar player (Bert Mulder and Gerwin Vrieling) didn't just give up and were brainstorming about forming a new band with a new sound. At the same time, coming from the same town, the hiphop crew Tha Kingz Clan (Pietro "Pazzo" Medas and Jeffrey Pol(stra) came to the conclusion that with their stripped beats, their slimming group, and hip hop-mentality they would never succeed in becoming the next big thing, and they were soon looking for a band to share their musical vision. In the past these guys all used to hang around together so after a short meeting between them the blueprint of Seveninch was soon laid down. Because there was no bass player available, the plan didn't really work out in the beginning, until Pazzo mentioned he knew someone talented at his work named Anton "Tony" Oortman. This guy already played the bass in the band Haywire but he had some spare time for another band. From the last heavy life signs of the band Plac1d and the vibe of the hiphopcrew Tha Kingz Clan, combined with the groove of Haywire the fundaments of rap-metal cross-over band Seveninch were laid down with strong influences of Urban Dance Squad and Rage Against the Machine. Seveninch has played several gigs including multiple editions of "Koninginnerach", the "Spoorloos" festival, an edition of "Urbangers", the "Loodspop"-festival, the "Dobbefestival", the "Summerdance" festival, the "Rode Oortjes Zomaar" festival and in 2004 and 2006 they were finalist in the Drentse bandcompetiton "Speakers met Kopp'n". At this point they already released two demos (7" and Equality) and are currently working on their first album.
