I have been playing guitar for quite some time. I first started writing songs when I realized I couldn't play cover songs very well. My style is difficult to classify because it all depends on my mood at the time I write the songs. Normally, it starts off with a riff or even a lyrical part. For the demos songs I have posted, I'll give some insights on each track. A Picture - I came up with this riff a long time ago but never could figure out put it into song. And then one day at band practice I came up with the rest of the song. The lyrics I wrote before the I even had a song. I am always writing lyrics. Working Overtime - I must confess I did not write the lyrics to this one. My brother wrote these lyrics, but I did write the music for them. I did edit the lyrics that would fit the beat. Call Of The Wild - This is the first song I recorded using Cakewalk. Came up with the riff at band practice. I decided to post this song just because I had it stashed away. I will probably end up either rerecord it or disown completely. I really do not like the way the drums sound on this. (It's Your) Birthday - Was written for my wife as a birthday gift. No lead but very choppy. Musically, I am still learning, but since I can't find a lot musicians who share my style and taste, I end up performing all the instruments themselves. Except the drums, these were done using a drum machine. All songs were recorded using Cake Walk Studio 7, exporting the product to a wave file and then converting them to MP3 format. Hope you enjoy them.
