Songwriters/Multi-Instrumentalists Matt Williams and Steven Foster were brought together participating in many of Western Carolina University's music ensembles. During the recording process of the upcoming "Matt Williams: Particles" album, Williams and co-producers Jeff Browning, and Patrick McNeill, decided to pick up the services of Steven Foster on woodwinds. With Browning and McNeill working across the nation as engineers and musicians after graduating from WCU, Williams and Foster have joined forces to keep the music alive here in Western North Carolina. The duo has played many shows throughout the region implimenting their talents and efforts to perform many "Particles" selections. They have now collaborated further, co-writing and co-producing a new project , "Rainbows at Night," which is set to be released in the fall. The project incorporates the talents of several other area musicians and the tunes are fusions of many genres including Jazz, Funk, Contemporary ballads, and even a bit of the Avant-Garde.
