DJ STORMIN’ NORMAN BIOGRAPHY DJ Stormin’ Norman (Aka.) NORMAN JONES was born in Kingston Jamaica, When was only 1 Years Old when Father Named Leyland Jones was gone. Left him and his mother Mavis Beck ford to work as a farm worker to England back in 1957. That was the last time he saw his father. His mother fell in love and Married Artlyn Rhoden in Kingston Jamaica. Norman attended Central Branch Primary School then Kingston College Extension. He has relatives in Clarendon and last lived at 18 Rome Avenue Independence City St Catherine, Jamaica. He migrated to the U.S. back in March 1979. When he first arrived in New York he stayed in Brooklyn with his mom on Flatbush Avenue. While in New York with his mom he was watching television one day and saw the commercial about, “Be all you can be in the U.S. Army” so he took the Subway down to Utica in Brooklyn after just being in America for only 2 months in the U.S.A. He signed up for the U.S Army in June 1979 then went to basic 1 year later after he received his Social Security Card to Fort Leonard Wood Missouri. Then off to Sheppard Air force Base in Oklahoma where he first met Rochelle Camille Anderson. She was in the Air National Guard. While at Shepherd Air Force he learned the skills of a Telephone Cable Spicer which he did while in the service for 8 years because he reenlisted once and each term was 4 years per enlistment. He was served his duties in Fort Hood 647th Signal Group. This was where he married Rochelle. They lived in Copperas Cove Texas where they attended church. Christian House of Prayer .Until they were relocated to Fort Richardson, Alaska. USACC Battalion. Where they had 2 sons one in 1983 and the other in 1987. While residing in Alaska they attended Bethel Chapel. He departed Active duty 1985 then on to the US Army Reserve. Worked as a Electrician Helper in 1986 to 1989 in Prudhoe Bay Alaska. Relocated back to Texas in 1990 with intentions to become a superstar by following his dream of becoming a singing sensation. Joined the Austin Songwriters Group where he learned how to write songs. Also joined a few bands, as lead singer, and still on the quest of stardom. He is now a proud owner of Stormin’ Norman Mobile DJ Service, where he has people dancing at weddings or clubs you name it he has it. from the latest to the greatest. He now works as a licensed Journeyman Electrician and a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 520. Stormin' Norman also tried is hand at acting for a low budget film. called Harvey's Place. Check it out!!!
