Dion Gauthier - Guitar, Vocals Chad Burnouf - Bass Clyde Gauthier - Drums Riot In The Dark was formed in late 2006, in the small northern town of Beauval, Saskatchewan. The band set out with a simple goal of writing good songs, and changing the way people think of music in northern Saskatchewan. "This area is not known for the type of music we play. The idea was that you had to go further south, to really experience it. So one of our goals was to create a scene here, that was open to different styles of music." In the bands short existance, it has shown great potential and progress. Touring Saskatchewan in the summer of 2007, the band has layed down the groundwork for what is expected to be a long career for the band. With plans to enter the studio, an EP is expected to surface in the spring of 2008. Blending various influences, Riot In The Dark creats a new sound that is both familiar and fresh. "We try and create music that is unique, yet still has elements that people can relate to." Riot In The Dark has shared the stage with bands such as Farewell to Freeway, Lights Below, The Fortunate, Blind Witness, Greater Then Giants, On The Sidewalk Bleeding, Snic, and Oceans Over Arcane.
