born and bred in london village...s.e.19...wot a place to learn the ropes ..as a kid was influenced by many diff, cultures have to give ma folks props 4 that, they never showed me any diff, i.e sunday instead of roast at mine ill be next door in auntie ritas eating rice n pea n tin, funny when i think a 11 year old white kid sitting at a table of a large west indian family trying out new foods learning new experiences, not unusual now ,not unusual then but other kids my age didnt have those sort of experiences, and it was these experiences that i have seeked throughout ma dayz. my dad was the same i remember him telling me in the early 70\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s moving with a fella called clifford clubbing at a spot in brixton..didnt see to many white folks doin that then..id probably say that it was ma dads influence in the likes of motown n that ,that really got my musical journey underway. alwayz loved music its in ma blood, living in s.london it pumps everywhere you go, as a kid of 8 i used to listen to ma dads early michael jackson l.ps n that but then i loved madness n ska..i remember when my uncle dean of 6 years senior used to go out ,i would open his window wide in his room n blaze the likes of cameo, aswad, luther out. at around 10 i was alwayz on ma nans estate, my unc naturally looked out fa me, it was here that things really changed n i learnt the power of music.ELECTRO had arrived. man my unc had a crew just like estates all over london,he taught me the moves n we\'d practise religously in ma nans garage, busin out windmills, turtle, hand n head spins crazy legs..rockin the hitec nationals n the tachinni tracksuits i was only a yout n had to ware the cheaper fellinis( joka) we were bad i was the little man, but was rude still,we would carry a lino n j.v.c., n burn against other crews..on ma nans estate brothers called the witars were serious breakers ,going stateside n making doe from it..we we were rapped clean up in this street style , iremember one new years party, all the older ones were drunk so i crept up stairs tuned into a pirate station n taped the likes of roxanne shante u.t.f.o crew, wish i had that now.still got nuff a them tunes from that era as ma uncle who bought em at the time gave em to me..its funny how things come full circle, the likes of missy elliott sum a her traks sound just like early tunes. man sugar hill gang, grand master flash, whoddinni we were there, n how lucky was i coz if i didnt have that older influence i probably would a been playing 44 or runouts with most of the other kids...we still found time for that tho. as i got older hip hop evolved epmd,p.e big daddy kane u.k artists like mc. goldtop props to myprice records west croydon station, only place i could get soul all dayer of the century that album changed my view on music n wot u could do with it. was still getting other influences used to rock black jack listning to sum wicked tunes like carl thomas n that till the early morn n then go a skool still, big up owen n hemsley....taught me how to appresiate the ganja seen.R.I.P owen baldwin badchkam, you was like a brother to me,long live your memory youll be forever missed, one luv. 88 now all a 15 still at skool in thornton heath ,kept ma nose clean, fucked about but made the grade, break dance was kinda gone now hip hop had emerged n fashion played a big part, shouts to chipie kingsroad, n naf naf, n that shop at the end of oxford street..shit ma grey matters fading. out looking parties one night came across sumtin we hadnt herd b4, so we went in..strobe lights n sum weird wiry sounds,ACID had arrived n we hooked on line n sinker.
