Born and raised in Oakland, CA and rapping since the age of nine, S.O.G. Success (Day Dogg) is one of the most exciting and versatile artists to emerge out of the Bay Area. Growing up to the sounds of groups such as Grand Master Flash and Furious Five, Whodini, UTFO and Run D.M.C. S.O.G. Success has incorporated a variety of sounds in his music. He is as aggressive and electrifying on stage as he is in person. Rapping about political issues, and relationships, Day Dogg- code name H.O.B. (Hard Over Base) attributes his creativity to real life experiences. As a youngster, growing up in the murder dubbs of East Oakland, S.O.G. Success learned lifeâ??s lessons the hard way. Fast money & a fast lifestyle was everyday life for H.O.B. He draws from these experiences to write his lyrics. Everything he writes is from the heart. He has a new outlook on life, which has elevated himself and his music. This positive brother has dedicated his life and time to educating neighborhood youth on alternative methods of adapting to street life. S.O.G.
