www.myspace.com/kallous Kallous were formed in late 2005 at Access To Music in Lincoln UK when the members joined a music course and then got together to form Kallous. The band included Vocalist Tom Brumpton, Guitarist Joe Tyler, Bassist Matt Robinson and Drummer Richard Dawson. After a few weeks writing songs they slowly began taking to the road and playing shows in the local towns surrounding Lincoln, which included Grantham, Sleaford, Nottingham and Sheffield. The band also recorded their debut EP/Demo in Lincoln and began dishing it out at venues so people unfamiliar with their trademark sound of groove laden Guitars, Hardcore vocals, rhythmic basslines and intense drumming could get a taste of what was to come. By the end of 2006 the band had played over 20 shows in a year, including a show at the Dublin Castle in London and had then decided to take a well earned break. They resumed business in early 2007 heading out to new territory such as Norwich, Leeds, Leicester, Reading and Manchester while also recording their second EP, the Relentless EP. Unfortunately for the band, tragedy struck in mid April 2007 when Bassist Matt decided to leave the band. He was quickly replaced by Bassist Alex Norman who stepped in to join Kallous and will be playing with the band on their UK tour and from now on. At this time, Kallous are set to play the 3 day outdoor Rivertown Festival in Prague in late June, shortly after a full UK tour, and another UK tour with Beyond The Grave in August of this year which has also been confirmed. After that the band will continue to destroy as many towns as possible with their crushing metallic assault hoping to push themselves, their music, their insane live performance, which rarely see's the band staying on stage very long, and their profile to untold territory in 2007. Kallous are set to release their first album near the end of the year which will be called Steel Skin. This album is set to have around 12 bone crushing tracks as well as a full colour booklet. Kallous have on going Merchandise which includes Badges, Patches, T-shirts, Posters CD’s, Cards and key rings and are set to get even more such as Hoodies in the near future. Kallous have a lot of up-coming exposure as well such as interviews and exposure with Metal Hammer magazine and Total Guitar magazine, along with a possible slot at Download Festival in 2008 and more possible slots at Bloodstock Festival and Bulldog Bash Festival. Kallous are also going to be shooting their first video to their hugely popular song Shower Of Bastards in the near future as the band have been offered for it to go on the Scuzz music channel on T.V. The band members themselves are also on the verge of having some good news as their working towards getting endorsements with companies such as Sabian, Ahead, Pearl, B.C Rich, Audio Technica, and Marshall.
