[b]BIG ERLE BLUES FOLK SLIDE [/b]The name says it all, a big sound for a big fella. Big Erle is a 3 piece blues/folk outfit that rocks, bring old world blues into the 21st century. Big Erle's deep powerful voice floats atop driving poly rhythms, slide/acoustic guitar and some fat bass. Big Erle loves to jam and will often enlist the help of the audience and local muso's to create spontanious, improvised and unique sounds that feed the soul. The Rough Sawn Bunch, as they are known, are a collection of vagrants and itinerants found usually by the side of abandoned hyways and byroads. Big Erle takes them in feeds em up and gives them an instrument to play. When you see a Big Erle show you never know what you are gunna get. Solo performances or the full 10 piece band [/p]Big Erle formed and grew in the northern suburbs of wollongong between the escarpment and the sea. The lyrical content reflects life in these parts and the continuing efforts to find a path through this life that respects people, the environment, the community and the soul.
