This talented artist known to many is Teflon aka Tyler Southerland. Many characterize him as a young person making music with an old soul since he explores rap and mellow R&B. The inspiration from his lyrics comes from his life’s experiences, family relationships, etc. Teflon, who was coined this stage name by other rappers due to his unbeatable spirit and indestructible personality, says that, “music is his passion” and he has been making songs since the age of 10. He made his first album when he was 15. Although he mostly raps, he is known to sing on occasion. He hopes to explore all avenues of the music industry as he feels that music is his God given talent. When he isn’t recording, he enjoys writing songs for other artists in his personal music studio. Teflon also has a Independent record label known as Regulator Records.
