This Street Savvy Artist began perfecting his craft back in '03. Since then, Rico Da Gr8, has emerged as one of the top underground lyricist. In January '03, the slick talking rhyme slinger, was sent to Iraq. During his 7 month stint in the war, Rico realized that his goals were ultimately reachable. "Me and a few homies would spark a cipher up every night. It was kind of a way of coping with the added stress from the war. Of course, I would smash 'em, but that's when I started to understand my lyrical capabilities!" Upon returning, Rico began to record song after song perfecting his craft. Building a deep fan base in California as well as a huge chunk of the the Sailors and Marines stationed on the west coast, his goals were now more closer than ever! That was until a gloomy night in Coatesville Pa, when his best friends brother was murdered! "Everything changed for me after that had happened, I ended up being AWOL for four months, started pitching on the corner doing watever to get my money and my mind right, I didnt care wat happened to me at that time!" After being apprehended by military police and a three month bid in military prison, his goals seemed to farther away than ever. Thats when he received a phone call about one of his homies opening a studio. "I hopped on a flight and the rest is history." Since then Rico has won numerous battles along the west coast. "Im not even a battle rapper but I just wanted to do it to see if my skills were still crisp, each round was a minute, I was beating cats in 15 seconds!" Currently working on his debut album "Money Back Garuntee" Rico Da Gr8 seems poised to reach his goals. Be on the lookout for him!!!!
