[b]kevan (of madeli) new solo project set to take off summer of 2007' aiming for his own style of writing and music. for a fresh start to this side project. ''these songs are all about me, the good and the bad'' said kevan during an interview with dallas based folk rock magazine. kevan began playing guitar at the age of 9, a few years later he began writing music though it was not until the age of 15 that he decided to make music his career. ''by that time i wanted to be in a rock band and be cool'' over the course of five years he would start several bands (none of which ever took off) after recently turning 20 he had hit a breakpoint in his life. taking from the influences of tyler james, landon pigg, bob dylan and many others. he has set out solo in the hopes of jumpstarting his career. ''i want to write my own stuff, meaningful and passionate to show the world who i am'' now based in dallas, tx he spends his time writing new music in the hopes of recording his first EP this year. his mellodramatic lyrics set to mellow pop/folk-rock tunes are deep and an inspiring look into the life of this 20 years old aspiring artist.
