It all started in 2002 with the The Beginning Demo. The demo was a rough recording when band leader Azwi (vocal, guitar), recently found Amy (drummer), former member Ritz (bass), and passionate on the industrial metalcore and moderate grungy. Time by time, the band gets in the underground music scene and gather all kind of great experiences. 2003 Childhood of Civilization EP was fully experimental rock and 2005 Punishment of Evil Madness EP was extreme metal groundbreaking. That was just the trailer though, Predicate Not Defined has since evolved with current line-up: Azwi (vocal, guitar), Amy (drum), Adi (bass) and a gratefull comeback, Wan (lead guitar). From grunge, industrial metalcore, Predicate Not Defined's sound has since evolved into a mish-mash of progressive experimental metal, with big catchy technical riffs, memorable choruses and a complete disregard for regular genre conventions. Sometimes there's borderline metal going with screaming and punishing drums, in other places you'll get a quiet ballad wanting to lull you. One minute the band sounds like a extreme metal, the other it's morphed into an malay traditional tune in their composition. Blame it on the band's love for Pantera, System Of A Down, Nirvana, Kreator and Dream Theater who don't limit their sound to a specific style. Predicate's live shows are just as eclectic. The group has performed full-on rock shows at big events and quiet acoustic ones in intimate cafes. Regardless of the setting, the band finds ways of making its music work. The metal songs get turned into funky / ballads, plus weird interval and dynamic vocal expressions. This band does not enjoy limitations and makes every effort to prove this.
