D-blak bio Derrick lee cox born to valerie cox and ronnie jackson was musical miracle from the start he spent most of his time growin up around music having a mother who was a singer but known drug seller and a father who was a musician but known drug user he was rasied to the beats of music coming up singing in the church but his move with his grandmother prove to be his ful move into music full time listening to old records and djs this molded him in to the blakman known today as D-blak. The black n mild cat known as D-Blak is taking the industry by surprise. This guy knows what it takes to make it. You can say he married rap back in 1992, they been together ever since. D-Blak came up rapping in Columbia, South Carolina, as a solo artist his rap name was D-Rick he was an all around hard headed youngster trying to get into any musical event he could. Every club told him he was too young but that didnt stop him. Hes just simply a street cat trying to blow up. He was born May 9, 1982 .D-Blaks first adventure started in Hinesville, Georgia.He then relocated to Washington DC there was nothing for him their so yet he moved again. The final move proved to be the most dynamic change in his life, and this was to Naranja, near Homestead in the county of Dade. He attended the same high school as Blaize, Kheiph, and GT. Thats where he battled Blaize and Blaize was impressed and introduced him to the rest of the click Slim and Show.
