Born Carmen Fluker, her professional name was chosen to honor the memory of , Kyra Araye, her deceased daughter. Araye story begins in St.Louis MO, a place now recognized as a forerunner in producing some of America newest, most innovative and uniquely creative entertainers. This is the city where Araye's passion for music is deeply rooted. At the early age of 12,Araye began performing live with her father's band in many of the areas well-known estalishments, singing various songs including hits by Aretha Franklin and Gladys Knight. While enhancing her talent over the years, it has won her the "Best Female R&B/Pop singer" at the 2004/2005 New York Music Festival. Also while exploring local area avenues, she landed strong support with a college radio station that is currently playing her current completed CD ARAYE "MY LIFE" in regular rotation, 89.5 The Wave college radio station in Missouri. While in High School, Araye studied violin and Piano. She was active wiht the school marching band as well as the string orchestra. She later obtained an Associate Degree in Social Work, and is a Certified Medical Assistant. Yet, her first and true love is music and that is solely what her focus is on.
