Born Carmen Fluker, her professional name was chosen to honor the memory of , Kyra Araye, her deceased daughter. Araye story begins in St.Louis MO, a place now recognized as a forerunner in producing some of America newest, most innovative and uniquely creative entertainers. This is the city where Araye's passion for music is deeply rooted. At the early age of 12,Araye began performing live with her father's band in many of the areas well-known estalishments, singing various songs including hits by Aretha Franklin and Gladys Knight. While enhancing her talent over the years, it has won her the "Best Female R&B/Pop singer" at the 2004/2005 New York Music Festival.
