Meshwell was formed a year and a half ago in Presque Isle, Maine. Floyd Bolstridge(FLOW)was a native of the city while his partner Ryan Simpson (RAH)hailed from Portland, Maine. After meeting through a mutual, Flow and Rah formed Meshwell. Both have had years of experience writing, recording and performing either as Dj or MC. They have won over hometown hearts for their song "Ev'ry Town.." Meshwell has been featured on numerous websites including IACmusic.com, Garageband.com, Myspace.com and most recently the online version of the music magazine "Cashbox Magazine" which they have been showcased as the "Top Indie Pick" in Hip Hop, as selected by the Editors. You can view it at www.cashboxmagazine.com. They have had airplay on KIAC FM out of Kansas City, WUPI 92.1 FM out of Presque Isle, and 21 other internet radio stations. Meshwell has also received the Best Male Vocals of the Week award at Garageband.com. At IACmusic.com they have put 2 songs into the Hip Hop Top 10 and both still remain in the Top 20 after being released to the site over 5 months ago. In that time they have held #1 6 times between the 2 songs and have registered over 15,000 plays as well. Meshwell has achieved many things since their begining and all of it would not be possible without the internet. Until the launch of the internet and all of the music sites that featured unsigned, independants people like us had NO shot at all. The goal that they have strived for from day one was use what they had to make their music stand out. With a $100 beat machine and Keyboard paired with a $200 mic and a laptop they have down just that!!!
