Mara Dusi was unofficially given birth in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn, New York, New York in the summer of 2006. The Majority of the music on Mara Dusi's self-titled debut album (13 of 16 songs) was written that summer in the Hotel St. George (in Brooklyn Heights). Mara Dusi spent 3 days in the studio (roughly 10-11 hours total of studio time) during the last days of July. Peter Kohl, Head of Beauty Rock Records, worked as both producer and engineer in his state of the art recording studio in Long Island City, Queens, New York, New York. Mara Dusi launched his website shortly after. All the music offered by Mara Dusi was, is, and with any luck will be provided for free (provided someone spends the time to listen). Mara Dusi returned to Chicago in September where he continued to write and record. Though none of the songs were necessarily meant to comprise an album, They are certainly a contrasting collection of songs recorded over the harsh chicago winter of 06/07.
