The Chase formed in September of 2006. They are a four piece band consisting of Jeremy Hankin (guitar/backing vocals), Jameson Hankin (drums), Kyle Owens (lead vocals), and Andrew [Jeek] McIntyre (bass). They’ve been playing shows in their local city of Richmond, and are currently in the Emergenza Music Festival. Their most recent show was February 17 at The Piccadilly Pub for the first round of Emergenza. That night The Chase had a record breaking number of votes (119) for a first round show (with other people coming up to them after the show saying they would have voted for them if their friends were not in other bands playing that night). Needless to say they came in first place by a lead of nearly 30 votes. Their next Emergenza show will be Saturday May 5 at The Red Room in Vancouver. In December of 2006 The Chase recorded a short and to the point demo CD with five of their more popular songs : Rock Bottom, Temporary Heroes, Miscellaneous, The Chase, and Musical Mystery. They tried to get a ‘live’ feel on their CD; for two reasons; they sound best live, and mend the best when all playing together. The Chase is slowly starting to grow a solid fan base, with people often coming up to them after their shows to find out how to get a copy of their CD, and when their next shows are. Surely anyone who sees these four live will agree that they will undoubtedly take Vancouver by storm.
