Born into an existence far from desirable, the Dirty South's best kept secret, T-Rilla knows the truth about struggle. Beginning in this world as Thomas Peeples, T-Rilla began rapping at the age of 15 as an outlet to his deplorable surroundings. Crime, drug abuse and life's hard knocks ran rampant around him. At that time he was known as Lil Gambino and his talent was unmistakable even in his youth. He was energetic, charismatic, and was able to draw people to himself with skills that some seek but never possess. He derived his inspiration from listening to legendary artists from the Dirty such as UGK, Outkast, Trick Daddy, and 8Ball and MJG. These rappers nourished his hunger and helped to shape T-Rilla's God given gift. Then when he was finding himself as an artist, performer and a man, T-Rilla loss his mother to cancer. She was only 51, he was only 18. Rather than withdraw from the rap game, this loss only made T-Rilla go harder and unleash the beast inside. He focused on his music and was determined to make it. However as fate would have it, T-Rilla turned to what he been surrounded by all his life, the streets. At 20 years old he was arrested and charged for drug possession with intent to sell. This was the setback that reminded him of his struggle, the loss of his mother and his need to change. Soon T-Rilla was back pursuing his music career with a message for the youth. He wants them to know that he knows the hard side of life. He's been there and there is a way out. Now T-Rilla is known throughout Atlanta and Florida for inspiring the youth to hold on to their dreams and always "Get Ur Mind Right"! T-Rilla has performed with some of the best of the best in the south and in some of the hottest spots around. He's appeared on mix tapes with Boosie, Big Kuntry, Slick Pulla, and a host of other majors. T-Rilla is respected in every hood in the South and is now fast gaining fans throughout the Midwest.
