[b]Growing up in the streets of Philadelphia, Shantella (born August.25), started singing at the age of 6 at Old Macedonia church. Her mother as well as other relatives, noticed her passion for singing and began to put her in Talented productions; and B.B.S (Bubbling Brown Sugar) was one of them which helped mode her into the RnB/ urban soul singer that she is today. There she learned vocal training, stage performing as well as presence, and harmonizing skills. Shantella gained to love singing while participating in local Philadelphia talent shows, as well as show cases. She enjoyed Writing, dancing, acting as well as drawing which were only a few talents Shantella portrayed which led her to start writing her own music at the age of 9. She was influenced by artist such as Toni Braxton, Janet Jackson, and Brandy for she believed they had a different flavor to bring to the RnB industry which was the same way she felt about her. Growing up the only child with a single mother raising her wasn’t easy although wasn’t difficult neither, because her mother always put Shantella dreams before hers. Shantella many goals are to one day work with wonderful producers and writers such as Ne-yo, Swiss Beats, Rodney Jenkins, Jermaine Dupree, and many others.OH yeah she is also 17 about to turn 18, but she's ready for the big world.[/b]
