Bio

At school they called him a looser and a “fat boy”, but now the same people go to his concerts and listen to his music. Kafka started his music career at a young age, when his parents made him play the only instrument that was at home – accordion. He did not admire this instrument and even in 8 years Kafka did not learn how to play it. In his teens, Kafka’s friend Tomas engaged him in a new activity – break dance. Kafka gave all of his heart to the dance and in half a year he lost 20 kilograms. During those years when he was dancing, Kafka had a chance to dance with at that time the most famous bands and artists in Lithuania. In 2002, he got into the top four in “Lithuanian Break Dance” championship “Top Fint”. While having concerts almost every day, he could not escape injuries, and one of them was vital. When Kafka hurt his back, his leg was paralyzed and he was forced to quit his successful career as a dancer. Kafka opened the new page of his life and got involved into a different culture. He joined the high school metal band “Overdrive” which was not known at that time and after Kafka got involved, with the new band name “Linfeng”, it became one of the most famous and popular metal band in Lithuania. However, after 4 years Kafka had to leave the band because of conflicts and tension. Throughout those years, Kafka had a chance to participate in dozens of different projects; one of the most famous was a pop band “Naujieji Lietuviai”. After two years of silence, Kafka is again knocking on people’s hearts and music life with his new project “Jupiter Make’s Me Scream”. This project connects all Kafka’s experiences that he got participating in different music scenes. It is electronic music with vocal which is typical to metal scene and surrounded by hip-hop ideas. Mariusz Stelagowski, a talented designer from Poland, joined this project as well. Without a doubt, today “Jupiter Make’s Me Scream” is one of the most interesting and most promising Lithuanian music projects, from which you can expect things that you have not seen or heard. As Kafka says, “In life I am a simple, sometimes vulnerable and sensitive person, but on a stage I’m a freak. The only goal that I have is to leave a deep print in the cultural process.” more info jmms.lt
