God's Choice consist of two young men who have devoted their lives to the Christian ministry through Gospel music and songs. Brought up in the church through two spirit-filled Christian parents, Earnest and Gloria Whitfield, these two young men have one soul purpose in life, to minister the Gospel of Jesus not only to just the church but to those who know Christ, knew Christ, and even to those who have not even heard of Him. Chad Whitfield, 27 yrs old, was born on Mother's day and on that day his mother prayed that God would bless any children she had to be a help to their father's ministry. And their father being a pastor, saw that God had answered that prayer when Chad begin playing the drums for the church at the age of 18 months old. Hard to believe at the age of 5 he was teaching some of the teenage boys in the church how to play. Soon after that he begin to play the organ, guitar and other instruments, inspiring his brother to follow in his steps. Carlton Whitfield, 25 yrs old, was born on Fathers day. Again his parents watched as their prayer was answered a second time when Carlton started to take interest in the piano at the age of 3. By the age of 5 Carlton was playing for the church choir, and by age 13 he was appointed as the director for the choir. He also pick up other instruments to increase his musical knowledge such as the bass, trumpet, and percussion. The group God's Choice was formed in June of '97 and since then have open for some of the biggest names in Gospel such as John P. Kee, Kirk Franklin, Shirley Caesar, Fred Hammond, and the Mississippi Mass Choir. They have received a lot of recognition and also received the "New Artist Of The Year" trophy from Gospel News TV in Alexandria, Va. In 2006 they released their second independent album entitled “Church Time.” The June addition of Encore Magazine at Totalprayze.com said “It’s very rare in this day and age where an artist or group will produce an album that is strong from top to bottom, but God‘s Choice has delivered!”. Just since February of 2007, God’s Choice has performed in over 50 different venues and church events, creating a buzz and forcing their music into the main rotation on two of the hottest gospel stations in Dallas, Heaven 970 and Great Gospel Radio 1040. These brothers are two multi-talented musicians and singers. They are also great songwriters, arrangers and producers capable of doing all three in many different styles of gospel music. These are truly two serious young men when it comes to music. And they are striving to share their music across the world...
