Frost Throne was started by Count VinterFaust in the Spring of 2006 in Rainelle West Virginia. With the use of a Home portable studio he recorded the First FrostThrone Demo "Frozen Wastelands". This demo was four songs which included two originals "Frozen WasteLands" and "Winter Moon". Also appearing on this demo was covers of "Quintessence" by DarkThrone and "Open the Gates" by Dark Funeral.This demo was circulated theough the texas underground after it was sent to a fan. Two weeks after the demo was done The Count went and recorded a full length Called "VinterFaust" due to the Fact that again he was the only one writing,playing,and recording on this album.This one included and re-recording of "Winter Moon". The Count wrote all the songs and played all instruments except for the drums,a drum machine was employed for this,and soon released it himself from his home.After another two weeks he recorded an E.P. called "Vrede av Frostherren" or "Wrath of the Frost Lord"(in English).The reason the title is put in Norwegian was his homage to the norwegian bands that had inspired him.This is the Last recording done at home by the Count. Frost Throne wanted to do Live shows so a Line up was sought. The first part of the Summer of 2006 saw Wargoat come behind the drum kit.For the most of 2006 Frost Throne saw Wargoat and Count Vinterfaust as the two sole members of Frost Throne. Late that Winter two more members were added to the line up for a more full sound Live.Vultre came in on Bass and Balthezar on Guitar.Vultre Left the Band shortly afterwards.Balthezar moved over to Bass. In Feburary of 2007 Frost Throne recorded a new full length album.It was the same songs on the first one but with the music re-written on most of the songs and recorded with better sound quality.Balthezar doesn't appear on this recording.
