Big Brass was born and raised in the streets of South Philadelphia. He first started rapping eight ago in 1999, and released his first mixtape in 2001 entittled " South Philly Gangsta ". After the release Brass gained a nice buzz. In 2002 Big Brass released Vol.2, " South Philly Gangsta ", and had guest apperances from household street rappers, in which he showed he could hold it down with the best of Philly underground. In 2003, Brass dropped a mixtape entittled " King of the Concrete ". An this mixtape really had the city of Philly like, " this guy is for real ". The mixtape only included ten, and I repeat, ten tracks total and every last one was a banga. Now in 2004 Big Brass spent most of the year behind bars on narcotics charges. But as soon as he returned home in 2005, he released a nineteen track mixtape entittled, " Underground King ". His fans couldn't wait to hear the mixtape, and he didn't dissapoint them. People felt that particular project was his best yet, because he was so personal about his life and struggles. An he let people know why he is the person he is. The middle of 2006, Brass was arrested once again on narcotics and gun charges, and sentence to twenty three months but was released and put on house arrest after servin several months. Not being able to really get out the house, Brass manage to go to the studio and record seven new tracks and he put together a best of Brass mixtape which included his best songs from his previous mixtapes. Currently Big Brass is working on a new mixtape that is not tittled yet, and he his also working with various producers putting together a demo album he hopes can put him in the game.
