Bio
Vinnie’s TV isn’t the type of band that can be easily categorized. Drawing from 5 different backgrounds, their sound can equally pull from rock, country, punk or soul. In the end, what you experience is a unique and sincere sound. Hailing from Carteret, New-Jersey, Wade Lynch (vocals/guitar), quickly became very passionate and involved with music. Having older brothers that played guitar and drums opened the door to a life dedicated to music. A 1971 Fender Deluxe Reverb amp in the house didn’t hurt much either! Wade has recorded and performed in London and Paris (where Vinnie’s TV reside) after beginning his career in the clubs of New York City. His musical influences over the years have been Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello, Gram Parsons and The Wonder Stuff to mention just a few. He is able to further realize his musical vision with the support and talent of the members of Vinnie’s TV. Jacques Belghit, (Jacki to his friends) grew up in Bourg-en –Bresse, France and has behind him an establish reputation in the music business. He has work notably with well known artist Nina Van Horn. From 1993 to 1998, he played with the band Thirty One and opened for Deep Purple at L’ Olympia. Other highlights include another opening slot for The Scorpions in Bercy. Jaki has done many professional recordings and is the ultimate live performer. He brings to Vinnie’s TV the special quality of playing with both feel and technique. Erwan Allainmat (bass/vocals) was born and raised in Paris and was a student at the Bill Evans Academy along with numerous vocal schooling. Erwan is versatile and can play just about any style of music from jazz and reggae to rock/punk. His musical influences are Stevie Wonder, Jacques Higelin and Deep Purple. Colin Legret (drums) was born and grew up in Apt ( Vaucluse) until he was 10 years old before moving to Paris. He has a solid musical education in jazz which enables him to be very versatile in all styles of music. From 1999 to 2002 he toured with a band called Le Chevals. Colin’s music influences are New Orleans Funk, Salsa and Afro Beat. Colin’s impeccable timing is the heart and muscle of Vinnie’s TV’s solid rhythm section. Chris Bartlett (pedal steel guitar/mandolin) was born in London and raised in Paris France. Chris brings extra special colors to an already rich sound. Chris has been playing music for over 12 years and started his musical journey by playing bass. He later fell in love with the pedal steel guitar and the mandolin. His musical influences are Hot Tuna, Fairport Convention and The Band. Over the years, Chris has played numerous live shows and done several professional recordings. One thing is certain. Vinnie’s TV is a band that defies the individual experiences of each member. Five expressive voices meld into one undeniably passionate sound with lyrics that take the listener on a journey both compelling and insightful. We like to simply describe it as music for hearts and minds. [link="http://www.myspace.com/vinniestv"]www.myspace.com/vinniestv[/link] [link="http://www.vinniestv.com"]www.vinniestv.com[/link]
