Bio
“K-V” K-V is a multi-talented artist that lives his life to the fullest. Strong minded and determined, K-V’s greatest ambition is to achieve icon status in the entertainment industry as a singer, songwriter, voice over professional and producer. Born and raised in Longview, TX, K-V spent most of his young years in the church. At just age three, he began leading songs of praise before large congregations. As K-V continued to sing, many others were blessed as K-V began collaborating with other local groups at annual gospel events, groups like “The Voices Of East Texas”, “The Junior Male Chorus” and “The Sons Of Praise” to name a few. Soon K-V’s talent was demanded attention from a more secular audience when he and a close friend formed the group B.S.T. (Brothers Simply Teaching). As a key member, K-V gained valuable stage experience while performing in talent shows and other venues. In the spring of 91, B.S.T. created and directed a video entitled “D.O.E.” (Dumb Or Educated) and entered it in a substance abuse prevention media fair. The video won first place in the area competition and second place in the regional competition. In 97’ K-V independently produced, wrote and released his first single entitled “Things We Can Do” which was received well by radio listeners. The single began to create a major buzz, which led to K-V’s first break as the opening act for major recording artist Rome, Big Mike, Craig Mack and Brownstone in Shreveport, Louisiana at Hamels Park. Currently, K-V is working on completing his album entitled “No More Delay” in which he is writing and co-producing while continuing to build his catalog of songs. In addition to this project, K-V is also involved in several other projects. His most recent wrap-up with up and coming artist Townsend included vocal training, image consulting and other creative work included writing a song called “Junior High Love” set to release early Spring 06. K-V is also working with up and coming artists Kerby Lee and Katie Painter as a vocal trainer, songwriter, arranger and recently released R&B newcomer Juan Jackson in which K-V produced and sang background vocals on the hit song, “Go All The Way.” As K-V continues to explore his options in the “industry”, he discovered something else he likes to do. The summer of 2004 K-V participated in the Tom Joyner’s Fantastic Voyage Cruise Fashion Extravaganza by modeling designer Ervin “Magic” Johnson’s fashions for men. Impressed with K-V’s natural ability on the runway, he was asked to participate in another fashion show displaying “Magic’s” line of men’s wear at the Compound Center in Atlanta Georgia in September of 04. K-V brings to the industry what is truly missing. He brings songs that are real, heartfelt and deal with real situations. His music touches all ages from the young to the old and will have staying power for years to come. "Bringing Old School Lyrics with an New School Flow" I thank God for giving me the many talents that I have and I want to use them to the best of my ability. I have a great desire to fulfill my dreams of becoming a force in the entertainment industry and with the guidance of the Lord my dreams will continue to come true.
For more information contact K-V at
