[b]DOPE PRODUCTION RECORDS[/b] was founded in 2000 by J. Peterson to showcase the highly talented cities of the Northwest, at which time [b]THA SYNDICATE [/b]signed to D.P.R. and launched a string of releases with that WEST Coast flava, and Hard hitting beats. In late 2000 “CAUGHT UP” was released selling 3600 units throughout the Northwest. Then in 2001, D.P.R. closed its doors to reconstruct its outlined goals for the company. Then in 2003 “INDIVIDUALS” was released selling over 5200 units through Internet Sells and that out the Trunk Hustle. With the minor success of that project, [b]THA SYNDICATE [/b]returned to the studio and in June 2006 released the album titled LIFE OF SCANDAL. Through positive promoting, via shows, street team and online champagne, have pushed Life Of Scandal album sales to nearly 10,000 units sold world wide. In December 2006, New Years Eve, [b]THA SYNDICATE [/b]entered a local talent contest, headlining artist such as No Nonsense,Andre Parnell (MC DRE),Stylus (of Living Legends),SPICE 1 and 20 other local acts, and was claimed [b]THE BEST LOCAL NORTHWEST ACT [/b]at the 2006/2007 [b]NYE HIP HOP SUMMIT [/b]awarded 1st place by SPICE 1.
