Originally from Australia, Jamie Lee Wilson is a singer/songwriter who moved to London to continue to build on her career in music. Recently she has been working within the UK Club scene...check out www.myspace.com/jamieleewilson Jamie is releasing her single 'I Just Wanna Dance' with Kinky Malinki (UK) and 'Bring It Down' with Canadian label Morrissons. Jamie has progressed through sheer passion, determination and will power and without the aid of record company support or managemnet. Performance highlights have been supporting Carl Cox at London's Brixton Academy, performing live with Timmy Vegas of Soul Central fame, Jason Herd and Jonathan Ulysses at Turnmills and gigs in Dubai, Moscow, St Petersburg, Canada, USA, Australia, Ireland and Marbella. She performs in London and Europe's top clubs and dance festivals with select dj's and is continuing to write and record her own music. Recent performance highlights include supportin Junior Jack and Kid Creme at Koko London on New Years Eve 2008, playing alongside Armand Van Helden, Grandadbob, Cassius, Laylo & Bushwacker, Caged Baby, Stanton Warriors and Plump DJ's at Electric Gardens, Playing in St Petersburg and Moscow- Russia with Roastgroove, playing with DJ Steve Rothery alongside the legendary Carl Cox at Carling Brixton Academy, Wally Lopez and the Hoxton Whores at Hidden, alongside the Loose Cannons for a live broadcast on Kiss 100 at Cargo, the Shapeshifters for PUSH at The Whitehouse, free-styling in the main room at Pacha with Grant Richards for Kinky Malinki, regular gigs supporting the Freemasons with DJ Richie Hodges for Plush Dafunk at Pacha London, Dreamers in Marbella with Grant Richards for Kinky Malinki and playing at the Woodford Folk Festival alongside the John Butler Trio in Australia. Jamie is studying acting privately and at the Actors Centre in West End, while working in theatre and film and television. She recently made it to the TOP 12 of the BBC Radio 2 World Voice of Musical Theatre Competition held in Cardiff and is currently auditioning for several West End shows. With a Bachelor of Music majoring in Jazz Voice, it is also worth catching a jazz gig!
