My name's Heidi, I'm from Australia, in Queensland. I'm 23 years of age. As for my singing, i never sang a note in front of anybody till i was at least 15-16 years old. I was soooo shy growing up. I wasn't one of those people who just sang since they were 3. It wasn't until i saw people in my church singing on stage that i discovered a real passion for music and realized that it was what i wanted to do at least as a hobby. But now i can't get enough of it. I'm not gonna lie, i'm still kinda new at the performing part and working through the nerves. So i joined the Choir for around 3 years and loved harmonizing with other singers. So i took it a step further and decided it was time for me to have some singing lessons to make sure i wasn't damaging my voice and to get the most out of it. That was also for 3 years. The style of music that i love to sing is lounge music or easy listening jazz such as Norah Jones, Eva Cassidy, bit of bobby darin, some of the beatles music. The Norah jones cover, 'Don't know why' that i sang, was sung for a competition. I had to sound as close to a celebrity vocalist as possible so i chose her because i think we kind of sound similar. I don't naturally sound as close to her voice as that but i like to imitate her sometimes cause i love the way she makes things sound, particularly with that american accent.haha It sounds weird if i sing it pure aussie. .lol
